It is fully capable of keeping divers warm and comfortable in many temperatures that were previously only accessible with a drysuit. The Kodiak is the first suit to employ the unique Riri zipper. The Swiss-made Riri only allows water or air to pass under conditions in which a pressure imbalance exists. This means that the zipper is watertight when you remain at a relatively constant depth, and only allows water to enter/exit as necessary for proper equalization. Features like Pinnacle's patented Merino lining system, advanced sealing systems, and 8mm thick neoprene combine to keep divers warm in the most severe conditions. High-stretch Elastiprene neoprene throughout the suit allow this suit to have the flexibility and comfort of a much thinner suit. The hoodless design allows for use with a drysuit hood, wetsuit hood, hooded vest, or hoodless, depending on the conditions.

* Front-mounted Riri zipper is 200 times more waterproof than a traditional wetsuit zipper
* Riri zipper allows water and air to escape, but is virtually impervious to water entry
* Front-entry hoodless semi-dry is far easier to don than a rear-entry type
* 10mm spine and kidney pads add comfort and reduce water movement within the suit
* Double-locking collar system works best with a Merino Lined Drysuit Hood, but can also be used with a standard drysuit hood, a wetsuit hood, a hooded vest, or even hoodless
* Dual-seal chimney seals in ankles
* O-ring wrist and Orcaskin forearm gusset seals
* Anatomically correct pre-bent arms and legs
